This Philippine Coffee Quality Competition (PCQC) is an annual event that seeks to identify the best specialty coffees in the Philippines to motivate producers to improve their coffee quality and to improve market access as these coffees are made known to specialty buyers through the competition results and subsequent auction with support from government, private sector and donor funded projects.

This year, PCQC has been conducted in various locations - Manila, Davao, Singapore, Taiwan, and Indonesia as it adopts to the new normal due to the pandemic.

Important Dates:

Coffee Submissions

: April 5-16, 2021 at designated DTI regional and provincial offices and secure warehouses.

Submission of Coffee Samples: April 21, 2021 BCAA Davao (for Mindanao entries) | BCAA Manila (for Visayas and Luzon entries)

Coffee coding for blind judging, roasting, and cupping

: April 23-30, 2021 at Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Certified Coffee Cupping Laboratories.

Eliminations Cupping (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao): May 3-7, 2021 at Specialty Coffee

Association (SCA) Certified Coffee Cupping Laboratories.

Final Cupping: May 17-21, 2021 Local Judges| International Judges
